I’ve worked with Karen for 22 years. She’s very knowledgeable and has adapted my workout routine through two surgeries and a few injuries. I have osteoarthritis in both knees, and by targeting exercises to strengthen the muscles, my pain is almost eliminated. She ensures I work the correct muscles by paying attention to my form. Thanks to Karen, I am an overweight desk jockey in the best shape of my life. The past several years have thrown numerous health challenges at me, including a heart condition and several joint injuries. Karen has navigated my training through that minefield effortlessly, pivoting away from specific exercises and muscle groups and focusing on those healthy enough to exercise and essential for supporting the injured areas. For example, sciatica prevented me from doing deadlifts. Karen wisely substituted glute bridges as a temporary panacea. In so doing, Karen enabled me to maintain my workout rhythm despite the injury. People constantly underestimate just how skilled she is as a trainer and how adaptable she can be in the face of obstacles. I know my current good health is largely due to her guidance, for which I am eternally grateful.
