Beyond recreation, swimming is also an important life skill that promotes safety and independence. Learning proper techniques and water awareness helps people feel calm and capable around lakes, pools, and beaches. Why did you go into Aquatics instruction?
I went into aquatic instruction because I enjoy swimming and wanted to help others feel safe and confident in the water. I find it rewarding to teach a life-saving skill and watch students’ progress from uncertainty to confidence. I’m passionate about water safety and enjoy working with people of different ages and skill levels.
During vacation time, Stepan enjoys swimming and snorkeling in the Caribbean Sea, where the crystal-clear water and marine life make every experience unforgettable. His love for the water continues to inspire the way he teaches and connects with students.
