Princeton Fitness & Wellness is following all the necessary guidelines set forth by the CDC and the World Health Organization (WHO) to best protect our members and employees. Your health and safety is our top priority. One of the many benefits of being a medically based facility, we were able to reach out to Penn Medicine Princeton Health’s infectious disease department for guidance and direction on dealing with threats of the coronavirus and the flu. In response to their direction, we are taking additional precautionary measures to be extra vigilant amid peak flu season and the growing concerns around coronavirus.
Currently, all areas of the Center are disinfected with a hospital-grade solution throughout the day and are deep cleaned after close of the day. To be extra cautious during this time, we have additional cleaning coverage. Our cleaning staff along with our employees will be collaboratively maintaining the highest level of cleanliness to meet the current environmental challenges.
We encourage all members to follow these best practices to help keep yourself and others healthy:
- Vigorously wash your hands often with soap and warm water for at least 20 seconds (sing “happy birthday” for 2 rounds or recite the alphabet), especially after going to the bathroom; before eating; after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing; and before and after coming to the Club. If you cannot use soap and water, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60%-95% alcohol immediately after coughing, sneezing or blowing your nose. Soap and water should be used if hands are visibly dirty.

- Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
- We supply antibacterial gym wipes and hand sanitizer throughout the facility, please utilize them. Be sure to wipe down the equipment before and after each use, whether it is equipment on the floor, or small group equipment in the studios.
- Place used towels in the “used towel bin” after use.
- Stay home when you are feeling under the weather or sick. Avoid people that you know are sick.
- Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or your sleeve (not your hands) when coughing or sneezing, then throw the tissue in the trash.
- Avoid shaking hands or any physical contact with others. During this period of growing concern, we must revise our greeting. A simple wave, flash a peace sign, a kind word, or namaste is not only acceptable but preferred by most.
- Clean your surfaces frequently, including countertops, light switches, cell phones, computers, remotes and other items that can collect a lot of germs.
