In my 60 years or so of working with trainers and physical therapists, I’ve had some outstanding experiences and relationships– but none better than with Susan. I was recovering from rotator cuff surgery and a badly damaged knee. I needed someone with the latest training techniques who understood the particulars of dealing with an 80-something year-old body in need of both TLC and tough love. Susan has provided it all, and then some. How many trainers would decide, as Susan did, to get herself some rotator cuff surgery just a month after we began working together? How is that for radical empathy and research, right? Well, she did it! (Okay, perhaps there was just a bit of clinical motivation behind her decision, too.) When Susan got back in action, she had not missed a beat. We bonded as never before through our mutual reconditioning. In the months I have worked with Susan, she has dramatically improved my capabilities in multiple ways– from strengthening my core to increasing my balance and flexibility. No review of Susan would be complete without noting her phenomenal personality, which makes every hour with her something I eagerly anticipate. I feel extraordinarily fortunate Susan is at the Center and I get to work with her. She is a genuine blessing and delight in my life.
