I worked with Susan on core strength training after having problems with my lumbar spine. From physical therapy, I learned core strength is the key to spine health. I wanted to learn more exercises to keep my core strong to avoid a return of my chronic back issues, which are due to stenosis. I definitely chose the right trainer! Susan is extremely knowledgeable about the muscles that support the spine. Not only did she teach me what I should do, but she also taught me what I should avoid to keep my back healthy. She varied each session, so now I have an arsenal of core exercises to use to maintain a strong spine. She was encouraging and supportive. Susan explained how the core muscles work together, and the purpose of each exercise. By the end of our sessions, I felt more strength in my core. I am able to do exercises I was unable to do before. The best part: I am now pain-free and avoided surgery. I feel empowered to manage my own spine health.
