I became out of shape and gained a lot of weight while in grad school to make a midlife career change. I became a Center member and starting exercising on my own. However, I was not happy with the results after my first nurse re-evaluation. I really liked Trainer Katie when she did my original functional assessment. I never had a personal trainer before. I didn’t consider myself someone who would use a personal trainer. I gave a lot of thought to hiring Katie. I’m so glad I did! She is very knowledgeable about the body and always makes safety a priority.

With her help, I work harder than I ever would have on my own. It feels great to rise to the challenge. Katie is encouraging and genuine. She keeps our workouts fun and interesting by changing them for each session. Katie is patient; she clearly explains what we are doing so it’s easy for me to replicate the exercises on my own. I feel great throughout the week and look forward to every session. My biggest results are obvious in my daily life. I can do activities that previously were difficult due to lack of proper exercise. My balance has improved. I gained flexibility and increased my strength. My new party trick is getting off the floor from a seated position without using my hands. I couldn’t imagine being able to do that a few months ago.
