Matt must scatter around endorphins because I always feel better—more relaxed, invigorated, and (yes) pleasantly sore—after our twice-weekly sessions. I’ve worked with several other trainers at different gyms; by far, Matt is the best. He’s attentive and inventive, His workouts incorporate the Center’s full range of equipment and weights, as well as my own body weight, with special attention to core training. He is as good at keeping me realistic—and uninjured–as he is at encouraging me to reach beyond my original goals. I used to feel lower-back pain after exercising (or just sitting at a computer). Since training with Matt, those symptoms have not recurred. He is friendly, patient, and good-humored. He keeps our sessions focused, providing sufficient rest intervals without wasting time. I know he would work as well with clients of any age or fitness level (including weightlifters) as he does with this somewhat mature client.
