With extensive experience and education, Registered Dietitian Susan skillfully helps members along the path to better health. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in biology and chemistry from Monmouth University, an additional Bachelor of Science degree in dietetics from the University of Northern Colorado; her Master of Science degree in microbiology from Rutgers University and the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey; and her Associate degree in exercise science from Mercer County Community College. Susan also is a certified holistic health coach through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, and a certified natural chef through the Natural Kitchen Cooking School.
Susan helps Center members improve their health and increase fitness through proper nutrition. She works with her clients to create healthy, realistic nutrition programs that are sustainable for life. Her experience includes providing weight-management strategies for diverse age groups and medical-nutrition therapy to patients with serious health issues, including cardiovascular disease, digestive issues, hypertension, cancer, and diabetes. Susan helps children and adults with food allergies through nutrition lessons and guidance on how to meet their needs while avoiding trigger foods. Her experience also includes providing dietary counseling for athletes to enhance their training.
She is also a certified personal trainer through the American Council on Exercise, and a certified Group Fitness instructor with the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America. She has danced for over 13 years. She enjoys teaching the Nia dance class at the Center.
