Matt Zacharkow

Matt earned his Bachelor of Science degree in health and exercise science, with a concentration in health promotion and fitness management, from Rowan University. He is both a certified personal trainer, and strength and conditioning specialist, through the National Strength and Conditioning Association.

Matt’s experience includes over 8,000 training sessions, working with all age groups and fitness needs. His background includes working in the physical therapy setting, and providing athletic training at the college level. He is skilled at helping the Center’s diverse membership reach their unique goals. Most of his training sessions are based on functional exercises, which vary with each individual.

His customized routines include a variety of exercises: powerlifting, injury prevention techniques, and healthy weight management. He specializes in endurance training for sports like track and field, and also works with athletes trying to succeed in new sports.

Matt’s hobbies include rock climbing, gymnastics, soccer, acrobatics, parkour (a discipline based on obstacle course training), track and field, baseball, basketball, bowling, ping pong, mud runs, obstacle courses, and stair climbing. He enjoys spending time outdoors, being active, visiting with family and friends, and reading.

Radiating positive energy, Matt helps his clients make healthy changes based on their unique needs.
