Steven earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from Washington University in St. Louis, and promptly decided it was time for a change. He then earned his Master of Science degree in sports nutrition and exercise science from Marywood University. He is a certified personal trainer through the American College of Sports Medicine, track and field coach through USA Track and Field, and kettlebell trainer from CrossFit. He also is certified in CPR/AED from the American Heart Association.
Steven knows the importance of exercise in achieving optimal health. He continuously evolves his knowledge base to help the Center’s diverse membership. Each member has a different history and unique goals. Steven customizes workouts accordingly. He specializes in strength training, metabolic conditioning, sport specific training, and preparing his clients for competitive running events. He also helps those striving to achieve and maintain weight loss.
When not at the Center, Steven enjoys going on adventures. He likes being outdoors as much as possible. He loves to hike, go trail running, and play with his dog (a rhodesian ridgeback). He has participated in triathlons, road races, track races, and mud runs and continuously anticipates the next challenge. He also enjoys getting lost in a good book. Steven’s other hobbies include following a variety of science trends, and spending time with family and friends.
